FOALS DJ’S. Hard at work in the studio the last couple of months, Oxford math rockers FOALS are close to finishing the follow up album to the energetic 2008 release Antidotes. By October, the band is due to take a holiday before the new release and what better place to relax than head way down south. Epaulette is proud to announce FOALS DJ’s a set from keyboardist, Edwin Congreaves. Edwin had been playing under the FOALS DJ’s guise for a number of years now having played V-Festival and Field Day in the UK as well countless shows across Europe. With a set that reflects a Foals sound there are dabbles in Kraut Rock, minimal techno, math rock, electro- house, Talking Heads, disco-not-disco… it’s a mixed bag, perfect for the party crowd. FOALS have been under the radar the past 6 months after relentless touring off the first album that saw them supporting the likes of Blur, Bloc Party and Doves and gain notable mention on the European Festival circuit for their electric, off-the-cuff live performances. Yet to grace our shores with the full live show, these sets will be the first taste of what is to come.
