Bang Gang Deejays Interview
1. It’s been just over 1 year since you last played New Zealand. What have you guys been up to over the last year?
Lots of djing here, some travels overseas – Asia, Canada and Europe, lots of work on our label and debutt label compilaton, still doing some parties around oz, banggang festival rooms, bunch of remixes (Presets, Tiga, Prodigy, Damn Arms, Wolfmother), some other production stuff, more mix cds and working on our tans.
2. What are you guys pushing at the moment with your parties?
Pingers, 5 for a dollar. Kidding. Just music we like, and hope other people do too. Oh and i guess our parties have really become more about our label so all the kids and music on that…
3. It seems a lot of artists signed to your label have been touring extensively under the ‘Bang Gang 12” banner. Are we going to see more of this?
Hopefully, we are trying to get the label tours and parties happening more so we can take some other guys around with us to add to what we are doing now. More people the merrier really.
4. Are you guys working on any production stuff that you can tell us about?
Gus and i did our first original track for the BG12s compilation and have been trying to pump out some more remixes. Recently we have remixed The Prodigy, and Polargeist and are working on a Wolfmother remix at the moment. Then hopefully some more original tracks real soon.
5. What 5 tracks are you really into at the moment?
Style of Eye – Grounded, Golden Bug – Lords of Pleasure, Cassian – Friday Night, Fake Blood – Fix Ya Accent and Boris Dulgolsh – Bangkok
6. What are 3 things every good party should have?
Girls, girls, girls and beer. I know thats 4 by the way.
